One of the biggest forces in the techno Drum n Bass invasion is Masheen. For Recon 004, Masheen gets the remix call for Logical & Prode's massive tech fueled El Nino. Mega Tech is the key phrase in relation to the buttons pushed on this one. Dark atmosphere, hard rolling breaks, huge drops with genius breakdowns. On the flip of Recon 04 the Cannon Boyz come out firing another technoid shot from the cannon in likes of The Grinder. Filthy acid bass runs rampant in this psychedelic warfare of bleeps and hardnosed breaks. The building of crisp drums along with thumping techno subs, upon listening one knows this is next level Techno-Logical Drum N Bass Science. The beat pattern weaves exactly as the track title says, setting the tone for the tech fused cannon to grind dance floors and techno influenced minds alike into, ...simplest words: shambles, and or/bits & pieces. Recon Recordings came forth in 2005 with two massive releases, showing the DnB world that the demand for hard hitting, tech influenced DnB was still the order of business. Now with the summer well upon us Recon Recordings proudly presents the highly anticipated next release. Known mostly for there solo efforts Prode & Logical joined forces to make there debut on Recon. "El Nino" opens with a subtle sweeping synth, insinuating the calm before the storm. A filtered arp gives way to the drop, bringing a torrential down pour of high octane energy in this explosive track filled with Techno Bleeps and beeps. Cannon Boys make their first vinyl appearance with "Paranoid Visions". This Moody, heavy tech roller rocks speakers relentlessly with Heavy bass and psychedelic sound scapes. Solid breaks, tinged with African vocals lead way to frantic stabs that will haunt you well after you have heard this.
Prode
Proket (Alexei), Denix (Denis), Roland (Igor), and Feom (Timur) are from a growing network, of a second generation of Russian producers. They create menacing, industrial dnb that has echoes of Russian factories. These guys are completely insane, but certified geniuses at approximately 20 years old, which is even more amazing considering their staggering Vodka consumption. Cannon Boys (DJC, Thermo, Rockdaspot and The Viris) have been a
staple in Baltimore's Drum and Bass Scene, since the inception of their
affiliation the Us Crew, in 2000.Without any hesistation they started
Bmore
Bass, an all DNB based night club event, booking the likes of Karl K,
and
Sinthetix. This night opened the doors to a residency For DJC and MC
Rockdaspot at one of the nation's hottest EDM clubs, SONAR, Opening and
Performing for some of the biggest names in drum and bass. In 2005 they
began Recon Recordings, Baltimore's first International DNB label. The
first
release was Sinthetix (Renegade Hardware, DSCI4, Moving Shadow,
Subtitles,
